POTTERY COURSE

During this intensive course (5 lessons of 3 hours) we will teach you the basics of wheel throwing. We start with steps like kneading, centering and pulling up. The next step is making the first basic shape: the cylinder. From this cylinder you will start making other shapes like cups, bowls and vases and you will learn to attach handles. In the whole process you will be guided by Jessica with pleasure and personal attention. During the last lesson we will teach you how to glaze your own work after which Atelier Van de Ven takes care of firing your creations.

What to expect:

  • You will learn wheel-throwing techniques to craft bowls, cups or vases (8 pieces included in the price)
  • We encourage you to add your own artistic flair to create a one-of-a-kind piece
