SUMMER COURSE WHEEL THROWING

This August of 2022, we offer a new intensive wheel throwing course for mixed level students.

The 5-day course is a fun week of 4 half days of wheel throwing, trimming and attaching handles. One week later you will be able to cover your finished items with an available glaze. They will then be fired at stoneware temperature for you to pick up at a later stage.

This workshop is open only to adults (18+), with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 attendees. It’s a small group so you’ll get full attention! This workshop is led by Jessica van de Ven.

The course consists of 4 mornings or afternoons of hands-on wheel throwing and one morning or afternoon of glazing and will also include instruction in clay preparation, trimming, and a short introduction to glaze application.

Day 1 Monday:
the first day there will be focus on making cylinders;

Day 2 Tuesday:
focus is bowls and dishes;

Day 3 Wednesday:
trimming and attaching handles;

Day 4 Thursday:
a free day where the students can focus on the forms they would like to make;

Day 5 Saturday:
is glazing one week later.

Price is 450 euros including materials and glazing of 6 pieces.

A few weeks later, your cups, mugs, dishes or bowls will be ready to be picked up. If pick-up is not possible, we can send you the works for an extra postal fee.
